Little Summaries of Life: Part 1
Some observations from life's experiences:

  • Sales: For extreme hunters, sales quotas are like an artificial glass wall. They shatter this wall and blast through.
    • If commissions exhibit extreme positive distortion, you are working for someone good.
    • If commissions are mediocre, you should work long enough to gain experience, but not too long.
    • If commissions have a cap, you are working for a jerk.
 
  • ​​Incentives: For founders, pure passion can be the only ingredient in their drink. For everyone else, a cocktail of incentives works better. 
 
  • Jerks: Jerks are everywhere right around us. The sooner you realize and accept this, the better your life will be. Figure out your method to deal with them. Any time or energy spent with them only yields negative returns.
 
  • Energy: Most people put their energy towards becoming better at what they do. Very few pause to reconsider what they do. The first case leads to becoming average. And the second case opens the passage to becoming extraordinary.

  • Progress: Gravitate towards people who want you to get better. And then some more. And more...Each of these people will have a unique style. Some will be harsh and some are forgiving. Learn to adjust to every style and focus only on transforming yourself. ​
 
  • Actions: Asking, listening, absorbing, and executing are profitable actions. Talking is the most unprofitable action.​
 
  • Joy: Find a few small things that make you happy. Do them every day while you direct your energy towards your vision. You won't feel empty after you have accomplished your vision.​
 
  • Helpfulness: Help others before they ask for it. If this becomes your default behavior, it will add positive momentum in your life. 
 
  • Perspective: Perspective can multiply your success. Some call it keeping an open mind. Easier said than done. To test it, try a cuisine you don't know much about. Do you feel the stark difference from your normal? Now, extrapolate this and imagine being around a person with a different personality.​
 
  • Compounding: Compounding should be a compulsory course taught from kindergarten. It is one of the biggest secrets of happiness.
​
  • ​​De-Risking: Best company-builders master the art of de-risking. To the outside world, they are careless risk-takers. Reality is much different. They think ahead, understand upcoming risks and devise an executable action plan.
​
  • Building: If you want immense satisfaction, build something useful. A great company. An amazing family. A great relationship. Anything useful.​​
