Monetizing Human Inertia
Inertia is part of human nature. Despite many talks and books written about the same, it persists. Since this applies to every human, it presents tremendous opportunities. There are two ways to approach monetizing inertia:
There is nothing wrong with either approach. And both approaches have variants. In the first approach, you realize that it is a problem. And create a solution to help break the inertia. In the second approach, you believe it is a future trend. And create a solution to ride the trend.
How do you pick which specific problem to go after? Let us look at some examples of inertia:

As a founder, a good way to choose is to pick something that bothers you the most. And fixing it should make you happy. Why? Because tons of information is already available on each of these. And yet the inertia persists like a stubborn rock. So you will need some serious deep thinking to come up with a different way to solve the problem.
And this is a classic example of the KISS principle. You can gain mastery as you figure out a solution. But for your target customers, keep it simple. And easy. That is how they will use your solution. And pay you for the same.

- Money: Financial planning. Investing. Tax planning.
Do you notice some common patterns in the above?
- Almost all repeat at least once or more for most people. Some have a regular recurrence.
- None of the above have hard-to-find information. But the opposite. Way too much information is available.
- The order of importance for each varies by the individual. And based on their current situation.
