Some observations from life's experiences:
- Observation: Keen observation is one of the most powerful methods to learn. It helps to uncover insights into the current situation. And to draw pointers for the future.
- Anger: In some situations and cultures, this may create super short-term benefits. In the long run, it is like cancer. And it has an almost permanent effect on one's future image.
- Decisions: How are most of the decisions made? By doing very basic research. And by conforming to the pre-existing choices in our network. Some people do go further. Try to make a decision that doesn't conform to your network. And you might discover a different and better network. This is a classic mistake most of us make by thinking like a frog in a well.
- Moving: Develop the internal power to move on from anything. Be it moving on from current location, relationships, thoughts, things, and behaviors. The sooner one develops this power, the quicker the new set of options that open up.
- Efficiency: Experiences of life are the best teacher. But try not to learn everything this way. Seek out smart people from different backgrounds. You will save years or even decades of your life by doing a simple copy-paste of their experiences.
- Backward: Go backward at times to move forward. There is no shame in it. Whether it is about reaching out to long-lost relationships. Or analyzing life's earlier experiences.
- Strength: Comfortable life reduces our strength. Both for our mind and body. Get comfortable with discomfort. Strength is key for long-term survival in every aspect of life.
- Primal: Despite modern times, most of our behavior is still primal. So are our instincts. Funny and odd, but useful if you can leverage.
- Dogs: Adopt one. Or more. They yield unmatched happiness.
