Some observations from life's experiences:
- Hobby: Are you one of those super smart and lucky ones whose profession and hobby are the same? Some people discover their passion with ease, others take time. But most people get frustrated and stop the discovery process. This leads to doing mundane work and becoming average. The biggest advantage of work being your hobby is that you do not need any motivation. Getting to this stage is pure nirvana!
- Break: Break pretty much every darn thing. Every rule, tradition, ritual, method, or process in existence. If you choose not to, humanity will stagnate. If you do, humanity will progress. Contrary to general wisdom, some mischief is good for society. By doing this, you will have an opportunity to create something new and lead the charge. Nothing new has ever happened by being a follower.
- Solo: Try doing activities that you enjoy doing solo in a small group setting. And then try the reverse too. You will discover some real good things. First, you will understand yourself. Second, you will discover whom you want to spend time with. This will turbo-charge your life. Because you will compound the best in you in a conducive environment.
- Velocity: Aim for attaining escape velocity in one thing in life. And that means doing only one thing as your focus. Everything else you wish to do can be part of a to-do list for the future. It is an amazing feeling when you get to escape velocity. Work for it, and satisfaction abound.
