Some observations from life's experiences:
- Knowledge:
- It is very profitable to start acquiring knowledge as early as one can. It is best to treat knowledge acquisition as a continuous process.
- It is okay to learn hundred-odd things and say no to almost everything. This is like building a repository that will come to use later while making small and big decisions in life.
- Avoid getting into analysis paralysis. When this happens, no shame in seeking help from other smart people. Most of the time we get stuck on real small and plain stupid stuff. External input helps get over this hump fast.
- Relationships:
- Relationships are like plants in a garden. On occasion, weeds will also sprout up. Take quick action to remove these weeds else they will drain your good relationships.
- People and plants are similar in a crude way. Some need more care, some not so much. The good news is that you can decide what kind do you want in your garden.
- Bad weather and bad times are similar. If we make a plan beforehand, the damage will be less. Being proactive takes effort, but it prevents losses.
- At times, you will need to step out of your garden into the woods. Treat the woods like stepping out of your known network. Woods are like an unknown. If you aren't careful, you could end up being someone's meal.
- Problems: Problems are a constant in life if you desire to progress. What if we are running into problems from many different areas? It implies we are trying to focus on more than one area. By definition, focus works only for one area. This is how things get done. And it is a good feeling that supercharges us for the next.
