Some observations from life's experiences:
- Weight Management: Balancing weight seems akin to balancing U.S. national debt. Solutions seem aplenty, but the implementation feels hard. Damn!
- Life Linkages: Many people want nothing to do with politics. Businesses want to maintain a neutral image. The reality is that politics, business, and day-to-day life are very similar. Think of each as a different shade of the same color.
- Future Choices: Immediate gratification comes from the simplest of things. Despite this fact, we spend serious energy chasing complex stuff.
- Two Sides: Addiction is such a loaded double-meaning word. Get addicted to the “right” thing(s) in life, and you do well. Addiction to the “wrong” thing(s) leads towards a path of suffering.
- Laziness Leverage: Unable to decide between decluttering the garage or the mailbox? Simple. Follow your laziness and don’t do anything. A breaking point will come, and magic happens.
- Problem Solving: One way to solve a problem is to run away from it. The key is to run towards another "good" problem. A good problem does not need any motivation to solve or it is something that you can live with.
- Role Reversal: Life is sweet till you need to reverse roles and put on others' shoes. They feel tight. Now imagine you need to go on a steep hike with a heavy backpack in those tight shoes. Thinking this way before we say or do something can pay off well.
